   ORTHODONTICS
We wish to welcome you to Dr. LeBeau's orthodontic treatment program. Before orthodontic treatment begins, a diagnosis must be made to determine the type of orthodontic problems and what procedures are available to treat the problem. To make these decisions, diagnostic records are needed, just like architectural drawings would be needed to design or renovate a house.

Diagnostic records typically include radiographs of the head, neck, and jaw joints and teeth, photographs, study models, and a complete medical and dental history including a periodontal exam. Coordinated with the patient's medical and dental history, the diagnostic records optimize an accurate and complete understanding of the orthodontic problems. This understanding in combination with knowledge of treatment possibilities and clinical experience allows the formulation of a treatment plan, which offers the best prognosis for a rewarding and positive orthodontic treatment result.

One month after the diagnostic records are obtained, a final consultation appointment is scheduled with the patient and parents (or spouse) which provides the opportunity for an informed discussion of the findings and the proposed treatment plan, the specifics of treatment appliances, the timing and sequencing of treatment phases and an estimate of treatment costs will be addressed at the final consultation appointment. The specific treatment fees, payment schedule, and financial agreements will be mailed to you following the final consultation appointment.

Feel free to ask questions at any time. We sincerely wish your time with us to be rewarding and an informative experience as we work together in establishing that pleasing smile and healthy dentition.
